Some things that made me happy this weekend

Spent Sunday at the Colorado Concours d’Elegance, spent an hour looking at cars in the parking lot before going in, because its always a really eclectic mix out there. These are some of the cars that made my day, hope you like them too.

3.0 CS, and that black car behind it is an Alpina B7. But of course the E9 held my attention, and it wasn’t just because the wheels were more tasteful. I truly believe that this car is proof of the existence of objective beauty. Out of frame is an E30 M3 that the owner daily drives and has put something on the order of 144,000 miles on.

Aston Martin DB4. The Bond movie title songs were playing in the background of the Aston Martin section, it was glorious.

2002 turbo. That M3 behind it is the one I mentioned earlier, the lighting over there was too weird to get a decent picture of it though.

I love the faces of these 2002s, it just looks so peppy, innocent, and excited to drive, even more than an NA Miata with the lights up.

1 of 3 (!!!!!!!!!) ‘63 split window Corvettes at this show. Never seen that many in one place before, but this one was in The Right Color. My Holy Grail of American cars.

These really are as beautiful as you’d imagine. Next to the Gullwing is a Ferrari 330GT 2+2, also beautiful and in pristine condition.

And my, are the interiors on the 300SL damn gorgeous as well. As if I didn’t need one already...

I loved seeing all three of them! We need some sort of Colorado Oppo group to get everyone together at car shows.
